About Fireside Elementary
Fireside is located in Louisville, Colorado and was founded in 1989. We are a well established high-achieving neighborhood school that serves approximately 500 students PK-5. Fireside has earned the John Irwin School of Excellence award as well as the The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Awards for demonstrating exceptional student growth and achievement. Students at Fireside are not only academically prepared through a rigorous curriculum, but are also actively engaged in a myriad of hands-on opportunities that promote leadership, experiential learning, critical thinking and creative enrichment.
Equally important to our academics and enrichment is the comprehensive social emotional teachings and supports that are offered at Fireside through our counselor, school psychologist and behavior health advocate. We are proud of the many ways we attend to the development of the whole child- from teaching and reinforcing our P.R.I.D.E. character traits to equipping students with skills and tools to successfully navigate the challenges, relationships, and experiences they will encounter throughout their school years and later in life.
At Fireside we pride ourselves on our inclusive approaches and programming to meet student’s varied developmental needs. Our specialized programs include English Language Development, Literacy Support, Special Education services, Achieving Independence through Modifications (AIM) programming for our students with autism, and Gifted and Talented (GT).
As a community, we understand it takes all of us to raise and educate our children. To this end, parents and community members are also an integral part of our student’s learning experience and are essential participants in bringing out the best in every Fireside falcon.
