Ms. Pazour, Fireside's Teacher-Librarian and Technology Contact, shares her passion for reading, while encouraging students to explore and evaluate information and ideas. Ms. Pazour meets with grades K-5 each week to provide lessons in:
 
  • Literacy and Text Selection
  • Digital Citizenship and Online Safety 
  • Research and Citation
  • Content and Standards
  • Coding/Computer Programming
  • Problem-Solving and Invention
  • Social-Emotional Health
  • Elements of Fiction and Nonfiction

The Fireside Elementary Library is located just off of the lobby. It is open school days and offers a variety of amenities for student use, including: 

  • A rich collection of fiction and nonfiction in a range of reading levels
  • Access to ebooks and audiobooks via the Single Sign On Portal (SSO)
  • Chromebooks
  • iPads
  • Maker Space
  • Learning zones ranging from the silent cave area to independent and group learning areas
  • Presentation and meeting space with projection and augmented audio
The Fireside Elementary Library is not just a place to house books, but a social and intellectual hub of the school.
